Not a baby!

SL has decided that she is no longer a baby. For a week now every time we put her in her crib, she's climbing out of it before we can get out of the room. It takes at least an hour and a half to get her to stay in bed, stop opening the blinds, and turning her noise maker off. Even with all our efforts we find her asleep on the floor or in her chair every single night and during nap times too.

Last night

This afternoon

She gets up at 6:00 in the morning and there is no convincing her to go back to bed. We thought about getting a crib tent to keep her in, but anyone who has heard her scream knows why we chose not to go that route. We'd be deaf or at least having a nervous breakdown in less than 24 hours.

So tonight we took down her crib and brought up a mattress and boxsprings for her. Once she learns how to sleep without rolling off the bed we'll move the mattress and boxsprings into a frame. Hopefully she'll be happier with the bed and actually sleep on it. Today I finally found where I put the toddler proof doorknobs. It kept her in her room today at nap time so I have high hopes of us being able to sleep past 6am tomorrow morning.

Also this week, we've had to take the booster seat (that we could buckle her into) off her chair. She refused to sit in a chair that wasn't like her sister's or brother's.

The word we hear most is "Share!" Especially in reference to food. If it's on your plate you can be sure that she will demand you share!

Finished!

Now, I'm going to tell you right now, these are not the best pictures. I cleaned up the basement once and before I could even take the first picture, the girls had toys out again.

The decorating too is lacking. Doors need to be cut off so the closet is showing all of it's goods. New bedding needs to be purchased, toys organized, etc. I wish I could wait to post pictures until it's 100% perfect, but who wants to see pictures of a finished basement a year after the face? It is what it is!

It's amazing how carpet can transform rooms and finished everything off. If feels surreal walking around down there, especially after I tuck the kids in bed.

Sister loves her tutu!

She puts it on every chance she gets. I had to take these pictures because I'm cutting her hair tomorrow. I wanted to have one last picture of her curls in case they disappear when her hair is cut. Right now it's so frizzy and fried (from what I don't know?) that I want it all cut off so maybe we can comb her hair without so much breakage. Because at 22 months, you shouldn't have to watch out for that.

Countertops and Cabinets

You really have to see it in person to really see how good it looks, but here are a few pictures. One upper cabinet still isn't up, but we had to get a wall problem taken care of first.

the most kind and loving little boy came to our family. He had been wanted for a long time and we have loved him so much!

Birthday Pictures

4 years ago we were blessed with a frowny (but beautiful!) baby girl. She is loving and kind, exasperating and silly, and we can't imagine life without her.

Now on to the Birthday pictures!

Naughty girl!

For awhile she's been carrying around a little stool so she can turn lights on and off. And on and off. But now she is aiming higher.

The New Hair-do...

I'm not sure why this girl can't take a normal picture, but here you go....
