This make about 5 dozen. I usually bake half of it and then freeze the other half.
2 cups shortening
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla
5 cups flour
1 12 oz bag chocolate chips
Cream together first 4 ingredients. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375.

yummy!! I'll be adding that to my recipes. You can never have too many chocolate chip cookie recipes.
Sounds great! I will have to try it maybe this weekend. I ended up buying cookies for the bake sale at Hanks school because I ran out of time.
